AYSO Safe Haven
This class may be taken online at www.aysotraining.org. Completion of the AYSO Safe Haven training is REQUIRED for all coaches, all ages, all levels of play.

CDC Concussion Training
This class is only available online at www.aysotraining.org. Completion of the CDC Concussion training is REQUIRED for all coaches, all ages, all levels of play.

AYSO has been promoting Concussion Awareness training in conjunction with the Center for Disease Control Head’s Up program since 2009. In an effort to increase awareness about the potential risks associated with concussions, we are asking that all coaches of all ages take a couple of minutes and complete the online training. The CDC Concussion training is REQUIRED for all coaches, all ages, all levels of play. Please note that this training is not restricted to coaches and we encourage all parents to complete the training and become more educated about these risks.

Goalkeeper Training
The Section has a number of programs specific to enhancing the abilities of Goalkeepers.This type of specialized training is unique in our sport.

Commissioners Cup Info

Coaches, remember that in order for your team to participate in the Commissioners Cup tournament you must accumulate referee points. The region recommends your team have a crew of three referees to help with referee assignments. Below are the eligibility requirements for the tournament.

VOLUNTEER POINTS AND TEAM STANDINGS

Purpose: The following point system will be utilized to determine the eligibility of teams for the Commissioner’s Cup Tournament. The winners of our Commissioner’s Cup Tournament advance to the Area Z playoffs.

Point System for Advancing to Commissioner’s Cup Tournament to be held in December.

Total Points required for entering Tournament:

U10 Division: 25 points     U12 Division: 30 points      U14 Division: 35 points


Ref Assignments:

 U08 Center = 1 Point

 U10 Center = 2 Points, AR = 1 Point per AR

 U12 Center = 3 Points, AR = 2 Points per AR

 U14 Center = 3 Points, AR = 2 Points per AR

 U16 Center = 4 Points, AR = 2 Points per AR

 U19 Center = 4 Points, AR = 3 Points per AR


Missed assignment = (-1) Point

It is your responsibility to make sure you and/or your referee team puts your team number and referee names clearly written on the game cards they fill out during their referee assignments. If names can’t be read credit can’t be given to the appropriate team (s).

Certification Points

 Coach Certification – 1 Point for Coach and Assistant Coach (must be age appropriate) = 1 Point each

 Team Parent and Coach(s) Volunteer Form turned in to National = 1 Point each

 Team Parent/Coach attends Safe Haven Class = 1 Point each
